Portonovo
Portonovo is a district of the Poggio hamlet of Ancona, part of the Eighth Territorial Council and an integral part of the Conero Regional Park.
It is located 35 minutes from our farmhouse, it offers a unique nature spectacle.
Its territory is rugged, with valleys and knolls almost completely covered with Mediterranean scrub; it is dominated by the massive presence of Monte Conero, which with its cliffs, about 400 meters high at this point, delimits the area to the south; to the north, on the other hand, Portonovo faces the sea with a white pebbly beach with a sinuous course that curves westward to form the bay that gave the locality its name. The beach alternates between pebbly and stony stretches with very white, rounded limestone pebbles, considered one of the peculiarities of the locality.

The sea is clear blue and is surrounded by unspoiled nature, the protected Conero Park. The presence of the woods directly in contact with the beach, together with the open views toward the majestic Conero mass, constitute a great attraction of the area.

AquaPark "Verde-Azzurro"
Set in the enchanting scenery of the Machigiana hills, just 9 minutes from the housefarm, is the wonderful "Verde Azzurro" Water Park. The vast water park has numerous swimming pools, slides for adults and children, Grand Canyon river and an extensive lagoon with whirlpools, water games and snack bars. For a complex of 3000 cubic metres of pools and fun! In addition, the Holiday Centre offers a semi-Olympic swimming pool and a children's pool with Jacuzzi for the exclusive use of residence and hotel guests.

Castreccioni Lake
just 8 minutes away, called Lake Castreccioni, in reference to the small village of Castreccioni that stands on a hill in the center of the body of water, Lake Cingoli was artificially created in the 1980s by damming the course of the Musone River and today covers a total length of 90 square kilometers. The clean, crystal-clear water provides shelter for many wildlife species, reaches a maximum depth of 70 meters and wedges into the surrounding hills, creating three long branches and truly picturesque landscapes.

Cingoli
The farmhouse is located only 1 km from Cingoli
In one of the most floristically beautiful and richest areas of the Marche landscape, Cingoli stands in a panoramic position on the eastern side of the mountain range that looms over the upper Musone Valley.
Cingoli finds its origins IV-III millennium BC.
The term Cingulum means in Latin “something that encircles”: in fact, from the first centuries the city presented itself as a reality built on a mountain to encircle it. Cingoli, therefore, would be equivalent to a city built on the shelf of a mountain. The oldest evidence of frequentation in the Cingoli area dates back to the Neolithic period, 4th-3rd millennium BCE. In the 9th century B.C. the territory appeared to be occupied by Picene peoples. According to a legend, the bird “the Picenian woodpecker,” which had arrived in the Marche region, alighted on the very high ground of Cingoli.
The first settled settlement of Cingulum, in the area of today's Borgo San Lorenzo, dates back to the 3rd century B.C. and our farmhouse is located just below the Borgo di San Lorenzo.
Cingoli's location with its superb panoramic views has over time allowed the town to earn the nickname “Balcony of Le Marche.”
An “Enchanting Location” from which one has access to “Boundless Panoramas.”
The town, whose climatic salubrity is proverbial, fits harmoniously into a landscape where the work of man and that of nature have perfectly integrated, enhancing each other. Cingoli is characterized by the nobility, the complex depth and the glory of a past that is still perceptible today in the long shadows that in the evening the ancient elegant buildings cast over the squares and streets.
